Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, and the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Iziaq Adekunle Salako, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment and development of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Okigwe.

The agreement marks a major step in efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in Imo State, particularly in the Okigwe area. It reflects the collaboration between the Federal Government and the Imo State Government to expand access to quality healthcare services and improve medical infrastructure.

Officials said the development is expected to enhance healthcare access for residents, boost medical services in the region, and support the government’s broader agenda of improving health outcomes across the country.
