Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, announced the donation of vehicles to women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in five opposition-controlled states during the inauguration of the Tinubu Torchbearers (TTB), a pro-Tinubu support group, in Abuja.
The beneficiaries are APC women leaders in Abia, Anambra, Bauchi, Osun, and Oyo states. Mrs. Tinubu stated that the vehicles would be delivered before the end of the week and would belong personally to the recipients.
Addressing party members, the First Lady emphasized the importance of supporting women in politics and grassroots mobilisation. She urged APC governors across the country to provide similar assistance to women leaders in their respective states, stating that politics should deliver tangible value to those working for the party.
Mrs. Tinubu also described the APC as a party that promotes democratic engagement without bitterness, citing its internal processes as evidence of peaceful conflict resolution and party cohesion.
She encouraged members of the Tinubu Torchbearers to continue promoting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and engage citizens constructively ahead of future political activities.
The APC National Women Leader, Mary Alile-Idele, commended the initiative and called on women across the country to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the programmes of his administration.
