The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has uploaded 34 per cent of polling unit results from the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election to its online Result Viewing Portal (IReV).

The commission disclosed the update on Saturday as the collation of results continued across the state’s 16 local government areas following the conclusion of voting.

According to INEC, the IReV platform enables voters, political parties, election observers and other stakeholders to access scanned copies of polling unit result sheets in near real time, reinforcing transparency in the electoral process.

The governorship election in Ekiti State is being closely monitored as one of the country’s key off-cycle polls ahead of the 2027 general elections.

INEC has repeatedly assured voters that results from polling units would be transmitted electronically through the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and uploaded to the IReV portal to strengthen public confidence in the credibility of the exercise.

As uploads continue, the commission has urged the public to rely solely on verified information from official channels and disregard unconfirmed figures circulating on social media.

Election stakeholders are expected to keep a close watch on the result upload process as collation progresses across the state. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
