The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that collation of results for the Ekiti State governorship election will commence at 10:00 p.m. on election day, following the completion of voting across the state.
Voting took place throughout the day in all polling units across Ekiti State, with electoral materials and officials deployed to ensure a smooth and orderly process across the 16 local government areas.
INEC stated that results from polling units will first be collated at the ward and local government levels before being transmitted to the state collation centre for final aggregation and official declaration.
The commission reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and credibility in the electoral process, noting that results will also be uploaded to the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) for public access and verification.
Election observers and stakeholders are expected to monitor the collation process as results are announced progressively from the various local government areas.
The final outcome of the election will be declared after all results have been verified and collated at the state level collation centre. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
