
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to the Leader of the House of Representatives, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing him as a statesman, scholar, patriot, and exemplary public servant.
In a special message marking the milestone, the President praised Ihonvbere’s decades of service to Nigeria, noting his contributions in academia, public administration, civil society, and legislative leadership.
Tinubu highlighted the House Leader’s role in providing direction and stability within the 10th House of Representatives, commending his efforts in fostering bipartisan cooperation and advancing the administration’s legislative agenda.
The President also acknowledged Ihonvbere’s distinguished academic career and advocacy for educational reform, describing him as an inspiration to younger generations of Nigerians.
He further lauded the lawmaker’s representation of Owan East/West Federal Constituency of Edo State, noting that he has remained committed to the welfare of his constituents while maintaining humility and dedication to public service.
Tinubu said Ihonvbere’s loyalty, counsel, and steadfast commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) have strengthened the party and contributed to national development efforts.
