A former APC governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving over ₦1.137 trillion for the construction, dualisation and rehabilitation of eight major road projects across Oyo State.

Kareem described the investment as a landmark intervention that goes beyond road construction, saying it represents a strategic economic initiative capable of transforming Oyo State into a major industrial and agricultural hub.

According to him, projects such as the dualisation of the Ilorin–Ogbomoso Road, the reconstruction of the Iseyin–Eruwa–Agbesi corridor and the Igbeti–Soro–Kishi road network reflect the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth.

He noted that improved road infrastructure would reduce post-harvest losses, facilitate trade, improve connectivity and create employment opportunities for residents across the state.

Kareem further stated that the projects would stimulate economic activities, enhance transportation and support long-term development across Oyo State and neighbouring regions.

He described the road investments as a lasting legacy that would strengthen commerce, improve mobility and contribute significantly to the socio-economic transformation of the state.
