Thirty-five people were killed and 43 others injured after a car drove into pedestrians on Monday evening in Zhuhai, a city in southern China, local police reported on Tuesday.

According to a police statement, the incident took place at the Zhuhai Sports Centre, where the suspect deliberately rammed the vehicle into people who were exercising, resulting in the tragic loss of life and numerous injuries.
