Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, that security agencies are working intensively to secure the release of his abducted sister and twin nephews.
Governor Makinde gave the assurance during a solidarity visit to Adelabu’s residence following the kidnapping incident.
He expressed deep concern over the abduction and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the safe return of the victims.
Makinde stated that security agencies had already been deployed and were actively pursuing the kidnappers, adding that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victims unharmed.
He also sympathised with the family, noting that the state government would continue to collaborate with security operatives to tackle rising insecurity and protect residents.
The visit comes amid intensified police operations in Ibadan, where the victims were abducted earlier in the week. Security agencies have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Authorities have urged members of the public to provide useful information that could assist ongoing investigations.
