The Federal Government of Nigeria has disowned reports claiming that one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi was appointed under an organisation styled as the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.”
In a disclaimer issued by the Office of the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, it was stated that the alleged organisation does not exist under the current administration, and no such appointment has been made by the Presidency.
The statement noted that Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi has been portraying himself to the public as being appointed by the office in connection with the purported group.
It further warned that the public should disregard any such claims or representations, stressing that they are false and unauthorized.
Foreign and diplomatic missions, financial and multilateral institutions, development organisations, and security agencies were also advised to take note of the clarification.
The notice, signed by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, reaffirmed that the Presidency has no link to the alleged organisation or its activities.
