Yobe State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Saleh Samanja, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 governorship election in the state.

Samanja was named as the running mate to the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, completing the party’s ticket ahead of the 2027 election.

A seasoned legal practitioner, Samanja currently serves as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Yobe State, where he has overseen legal and judicial reforms under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni.

His emergence is expected to strengthen the APC’s campaign as the party prepares for the 2027 governorship election, with party leaders expressing confidence in the Wali–Samanja ticket.
