Tinubu Hosts First APC National Caucus Meeting at Presidential Villa

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday convened the first national caucus meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, the first since Tinubu assumed office in May 2023, was held in preparation for the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

Among those in attendance were APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, APC governors, members of the National Working Committee, and other key party leaders.

The gathering comes amid concerns from some APC chieftains, including former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former National Vice Chairman Salihu Lukman, who have criticized the party’s leadership over a perceived lack of internal democracy.
