President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, officiated the inauguration of Collector Road CN8 (Asuquo Okon Way) in Dakibiyu District, Jabi, Abuja. He stated that this milestone exemplifies his administration’s dedication to building “a capital that works for everyone,” emphasizing that the development extends beyond the city centre into its outskirts and underserved communities.
Describing roads, bridges, and community links as bold signatures of urban renewal and economic vitality, Tinubu stressed that a functional and inclusive capital inspires confidence, attracts investment, and restores citizens’ dignity. He highlighted the Renewed Hope Agenda’s tangible benefits: easing traffic, shortening commutes, boosting trade, enabling swifter emergency response, and opening avenues for livelihood and market growth.
The President lauded FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for executing impactful projects with a sense of urgency and committed continued Federal support in terms of finance, policy, and institutional backing to ensure on-time delivery of infrastructure initiatives across Abuja.
