Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, a loyal member of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.

Speaking at a meeting with APC stakeholders in Ogbomoso, Adelabu said he is prepared to put his political and administrative experience to work for the people of Oyo. He pledged to run an all-inclusive government and assured that he would subject himself to a free and fair APC primary.

Adelabu, who contested in 2019 and 2023, also used the opportunity to reaffirm his support for President Tinubu’s leadership and called on Oyo citizens to support the president’s re-election bid in 2027.

According to him, “Nigeria has a lot to gain if President Tinubu is re-elected to complete his transformational agenda.”

His declaration marks a significant development within Oyo APC and highlights President Tinubu’s growing influence in building a new generation of leaders across the country.
