On July 18, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, at his residence in Kano State.

He was received by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside members of the Dantata family, including Alhaji Tajudeen Dantata.
