Minister of Works, David Umahi, has defended his public service record and challenged critics to objectively compare his achievements with those of other political leaders.

Speaking during a public engagement, Umahi said he has served Nigeria in several capacities, including as Party Chairman, Deputy Governor, Governor, Senator, and Minister, describing his political journey as one marked by experience and service.

The minister specifically responded to criticism from supporters of opposition figures, urging them to assess his performance based on verifiable achievements rather than personal attacks.

According to Umahi, his record as Governor of Ebonyi State remains available for public scrutiny and should be evaluated alongside that of any other political leader.

He maintained that political disagreements should be based on facts, performance, and policy outcomes rather than insults or emotional reactions.

Umahi called for more objective political discourse, stressing the need for Nigerians to focus on leadership records and contributions to national development when assessing public office holders.
