The Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FoEI) at the University of Bradford has introduced a substantial scholarship worth £11,645 (approximately N24,000,000) to support Nigerian and other international students pursuing the Applied Artificial Intelligence B.Sc. program.
This scholarship provides a significant opportunity for prospective students worldwide, offering a 50% reduction on the advertised tuition fee. As a result, students enrolling for the 2024/25 academic year will pay £11,645 in annual tuition fees, down from the regular cost.
The University of Bradford announced that the reduced fee reflects its commitment to enhancing the accessibility of higher education. The scholarship is open to students from various countries, including Nigeria, Afghanistan, Canada, Germany, India, and the United States. It is automatically applied upon enrollment, so no separate application is necessary.
However, scholarship recipients must remain engaged with their studies, including regular attendance and timely assignment submissions. Failure to meet these expectations could result in the scholarship being revoked and the need to repay the awarded amount.
The scholarship is available to all new, full-time international students starting the Applied Artificial Intelligence B.Sc. program in the 2024/25 academic year. It is open to students from a wide range of countries, ensuring a diverse cohort can benefit from this initiative.
Professor Alex Johnson, Dean of FoEI, expressed excitement about the new scholarship, stating, “We are thrilled to offer this significant scholarship to our international students. It reflects our commitment to attracting global talent and supporting students passionate about advancing their knowledge in artificial intelligence. We look forward to welcoming a diverse group of scholars to our program.”
Prospective students should note that while the scholarship is automatically applied, they must complete the necessary enrollment procedures by October 25, 2024.
