Tinubu: I’m Driving Growth Through Strategic Foreign Engagements

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging international engagements to restore Nigeria’s pride and secure opportunities for national growth, job creation, and prosperity.

The President stated this shortly after returning from official visits to Japan and Brazil, where he pursued new investment partnerships in critical sectors. Writing on his verified X handle, @officialABAT, Tinubu explained that every foreign trip and reform programme under his administration is guided by the mandate Nigerians entrusted to him in 2023.

“In 2023, you entrusted me with the responsibility of restoring our pride and dignity on the global stage, and I remain fully committed to that mission,” he wrote. “Every handshake, every agreement, and every meeting is guided by one goal: to secure opportunities that translate into growth, jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians.”

He noted that Japan offered new opportunities in industry, technology, and human capital development, while Brazil provided partnerships in trade, agriculture, aviation, and finance. The engagements, he said, are part of a broader effort to strengthen Nigeria’s global standing and deliver economic progress at home.
