President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has summoned Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, over allegations that he forged his university certificates.

Premium Times had reported that the Minister never graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, accusing him of forging the certificates he presented to become the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology.

Minister Nnaji had claimed that he had graduated from the UNN in 1985 with a degree in Microbiology. But Premium Times findings reveal that the Minister was meant to retake Virology in 1986, a course he had failed in 1985 and such could not have graduated in 1985 as claimed.

Sources confirmed that the controversy surrounding the Minister’s academic qualifications is reason why he has been summoned by President Tinubu. The Minister is still in the Villa at the time of making this post to clarify the issues of his Degree.
