Britney Spears Slams Kevin Federline’s Memoir, Accuses Ex of ‘Profiting Off’ Her Again

Britney Spears is pushing back against explosive claims made by her ex-husband Kevin Federline in his forthcoming memoir You Thought You Knew, set for release on October 21. Through a representative, the 43-year-old pop icon criticized Federline for “once again profiting off her,” calling the book’s release a “sad attempt at sensationalism” following the end of his child support payments.

“With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her,” Spears’ rep told reporters in a statement. “All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She already told her story in The Woman in Me.” Spears’ 2023 memoir detailed her struggles during her 13-year conservatorship and the emotional toll of her custody battle with Federline.

In his upcoming book, Federline claims that their sons once described disturbing late-night encounters with Spears, alleging she would silently stand in their doorway holding a knife. He also voiced concern for the singer’s mental state, suggesting her situation is “racing toward something irreversible.” Spears has not directly addressed those allegations, but sources close to her say she remains focused on her family and personal recovery, choosing not to engage in “manufactured drama.”
