President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has defended his administration’s strong focus on infrastructure development, describing it as a critical foundation for economic growth, job creation, and improved quality of life for Nigerians.
The President’s position was conveyed by Vice President Kashim Shettima during the commissioning of Collector Roads 01 and 02 in Mabushi District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, the Vice President said the Renewed Hope Agenda is not merely a slogan but a practical commitment to delivering projects that improve the daily lives of citizens through better transportation networks and public infrastructure.
According to him, the newly commissioned roads have created seamless links across Mabushi, improving connectivity between the district, the bus terminal, and other parts of the FCT.
The President noted that infrastructure plays a central role in modern economic development, stressing that improved road networks facilitate business activities, enhance productivity, promote safety, and support overall economic expansion.
He emphasized that when communities are connected through quality infrastructure, businesses thrive, movement becomes easier, and citizens enjoy greater opportunities for growth and prosperity.
President Tinubu pledged that his administration would continue investing in roads and other critical infrastructure projects across the country, while also creating jobs and strengthening public confidence in governance.
He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the government’s infrastructural development agenda, assuring them that ongoing investments are laying a solid foundation for long-term national growth and economic transformation.
