President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Adewale Tinubu, Group Chief Executive of Oando Plc, on the occasion of his 59th birthday, praising his contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector and economic development.

In a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Adewale Tinubu as an accomplished entrepreneur whose vision and innovation helped transform Oando from a petroleum marketing company into a fully integrated energy group with operations spanning the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the oil and gas industry.

President Tinubu commended the businessman for creating employment opportunities, attracting investments, and leading major transactions that have strengthened indigenous participation in Nigeria’s energy sector.

The President also acknowledged Adewale Tinubu’s role in promoting local content development and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives within the industry.

He further praised the establishment of the Oando Foundation, noting its contributions to education, community development, and social impact across Nigeria through support for schools and underserved communities.
