F1 director Joseph Kosinski has revealed that one of the “scariest” moments of filming came during a high-speed sequence featuring Brad Pitt, who performs many of his own driving stunts in the upcoming Formula 1 movie.
Kosinski praised Pitt’s “natural talent” behind the wheel but admitted he was “crossing his fingers” during one particularly dangerous scene. “Brad was fully in control, but when you’re shooting at those speeds, anything can happen,” the director said, recalling the tension on set.
The film follows Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver making a comeback to help save his struggling team. With breathtaking racing sequences and real F1 involvement, the movie promises to deliver one of the most authentic depictions of the sport ever seen on screen.
