Nigerian social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has issued a public warning to his followers, urging them to avoid doing business with his longtime Chinese associate, Ross Boss. In a post shared on October 21, the outspoken influencer accused Ross of providing low-quality products during recent factory visits, allegedly scamming his sister, and operating multiple suspicious Facebook accounts linked to fake business transactions during his recent trip to China.

Ross Boss swiftly denied the allegations, claiming transparency in his dealings and presenting receipts showing he spent over $15,000 hosting VeryDarkMan in China. He also explained that the multiple Facebook accounts in question belonged to his sales staff, not fraudulent operators, and invited anyone to verify his business operations independently.

The controversy, which has been trending on X (formerly Twitter), has sparked heated debate about trust and accountability in Nigeria-China online trade partnerships. As of October 22, no official police report or legal complaint has been filed against Ross Boss, but the incident highlights growing concerns over influencer-endorsed international business collaborations.
