President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received two senators who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Led by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, the lawmakers—Senator Kaila Samaila Dahuwa representing Bauchi North and Senator Agom Jarigbe representing Cross River North—visited the President at the State House on Wednesday evening.

Senate President Akpabio explained that the senators’ defection to the APC was driven by their commitment to national interest and alignment with the reform agenda of President Tinubu’s administration.
