The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man identified as Innocent Chukwuma in Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, after he allegedly used his social media platform to incite the military to stage a coup against the Nigerian government. Chukwuma, who operates the X handle @TheAgroman, reportedly urged soldiers to “suspend the Nigerian government” and “reset the country.”

According to security sources, the suspect’s posts — which called for the removal of the APC-led administration and support for a military takeover — were flagged as a serious national security threat. His comments quickly drew attention online before DSS operatives tracked him down and apprehended him.

A reliable source told Jocomms News that Chukwuma is now in DSS custody and cooperating with investigators. Authorities have since reiterated that any attempt to incite violence or undermine democratic governance will be met with the full weight of the law.
