The indigenous oil and gas giant says it has achieved a 59% year-on-year increase in crude oil and gas production within the first nine months of 2025, marking a major turnaround since assuming operatorship of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) assets last year. According to a statement posted on Oando’s official X page and obtained by Jocomms, production uptime now stands at 82%, with average daily output reaching 38,121 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd).

Oando described the results as “transformational,” noting that the company is beginning to unlock the tremendous value its reserves possess. The post further revealed that Oando made significant progress during the period, including a partial recovery of long-standing receivables and major strides in resolving legal matters that had previously been fully provisioned for. The company said these milestones highlight its leadership strength and renewed operational efficiency.

As Oando continues to consolidate gains from its strategic acquisition and operational reforms, industry observers see the company’s performance as a signal of renewed investor confidence in Nigeria’s upstream sector. With production growth accelerating and value creation at the core of its agenda, could this mark the dawn of Oando’s new era of energy leadership? Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
