The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has denied a statement attributed to him by the online media platform “Rant HQ,” which claimed that Nigerians are satisfied with the country’s conditions amid killings.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio described the post as “a total falsehood, a product of mischief, and a desperate attempt to incite misunderstanding” between him and former US President Donald Trump, as well as between Nigeria and its international partners.

Akpabio challenged the publishers to provide evidence supporting the claim, calling it “digital recklessness” aimed at tarnishing reputations and inflaming diplomatic tensions.

The Senate President urged the public to ignore the falsehood and warned those who spread misinformation to desist from circulating fabricated and unverified stories.
