President Tinubu Celebrates Journalist and Former Presidential Adviser Dr. Reuben Abati on His 60th Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Dr. Reuben Abati, renowned journalist, author, and former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, on his 60th birthday.

Describing Dr. Abati as a distinguished public intellectual, President Tinubu highlighted his contributions as a law graduate, columnist, television anchor, and former Chairman of the Editorial Board of The Guardian. He noted that Dr. Abati’s insightful articles, television analyses, and interventions continue to enlighten and inspire Nigerians.

The President commended Dr. Abati for his service to the nation, particularly his role in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, and lauded his patriotism, creativity, and versatility as a commentator on national issues across both traditional and social media.

President Tinubu also congratulated Dr. Abati, affectionately known as Rubi Rubi, on the presentation of three books to mark his birthday: Portraits: People, Politics and Society, A Love Letter and Other Stories, and How Goodluck Jonathan Became President.

Joining the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the Nigerian Guild of Editors, family, and friends, the President prayed for Dr. Abati’s continued good health, long life, and inspiration to serve the nation and humanity.
