The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shu’aibu, has called on troops to step up their efforts in the ongoing counter-terrorism and anti-banditry operations across the North-West region. He assured them of improved welfare, enhanced logistics, and sustained support from the Army High Command.

General Shu’aibu gave the directive during his operational visit to the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force, Northwest Operation Fansan Yamma, in Gusau, Zamfara State. He commended the troops for their resilience and bravery, noting that their sacrifices remain critical to restoring peace and stability in affected communities.

The Army Chief emphasized the need to maintain the momentum against criminal elements, reaffirming the commitment of the Nigerian Army to decisively defeat terrorists and bandits through strengthened operations and better coordination among security agencies.
