
Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday held high-level bilateral discussions with Angolan President João Lourenço, who currently serves as Chairperson of the African Union, on the sidelines of the ongoing 7th African Union–European Union Summit in Luanda.
The meeting focused on strengthening continental cooperation, deepening Nigeria–Angola relations, and advancing shared priorities within the AU framework. Both leaders exchanged views on security, economic integration, and coordinated African positions ahead of key multilateral engagements.
Vice President Shettima reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to working closely with President Lourenço and the AU leadership to promote stability, development, and a stronger collective voice for Africa on the global stage.
