The Federal Government has flagged off the Renewed Hope Campus Transport Scheme, deploying 240 solar-powered electric tricycles to 12 federal universities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

The initiative aims to tackle the perennial transport problems faced by students on campuses, improve mobility, and provide an eco-friendly alternative for commuting within university environments.

Officials say the scheme is part of the government’s broader commitment to supporting student welfare, promoting sustainable transport solutions, and enhancing access to academic and social facilities across tertiary institutions.
