Oluremi Tinubu Commissions Projects, Empowers Women During Kogi Visit

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday embarked on a series of engagements in Kogi State, where she commissioned key projects, empowered women and launched a food security initiative.

During the visit, the First Lady commissioned the Oluremi Tinubu Pension and Treasury House in Lokoja and met with the Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, reaffirming the importance of collaboration in advancing national development.

As part of her empowerment programme, Senator Tinubu presented a cheque of ₦100 million to support 2,000 women petty traders across the state, encouraging economic inclusion and entrepreneurship.

She also interacted with beneficiaries of the empowerment initiative and flagged off the North Central National Food Bank Programme with the distribution of food items at the Primary Health Centre in Lokogoma, Lokoja.

The visit attracted a large turnout of residents, who welcomed the First Lady and participated in the various activities held across the state.

The engagements underscore the Federal Government’s continued commitment to women’s empowerment, food security and community development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
