The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has awarded a contract to NHD Interbiz Projects Limited to build its new corporate headquarters and centralised Air Traffic Management (ATM) facility in Abuja.
The facility will centralise air traffic control operations previously spread across Kano and Lagos, boosting efficiency, coordination, and aviation safety. NAMA Managing Director Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk described the project as “transformative and strategic,” designed to meet ICAO standards and house critical operational infrastructure.
The initiative has government backing, with Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, SAN, helping secure Federal Executive Council approval. NAMA emphasised strict adherence to quality standards and risk management.
The new headquarters and ATM centre aim to modernise Nigeria’s airspace management and strengthen national aviation safety. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
