The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has extended the registration period for the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Technical Colleges. The extension is designed to give candidates more time to register and ensure a smooth, accessible process nationwide.
According to NABTEB’s Registrar and CEO, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, the move will:
Allow candidates ample time to complete registration.
Reduce congestion and technical glitches on the online registration portal.
Ease financial and logistical pressure on parents and guardians.
Ensure a seamless and error-free registration experience.
The registration period now runs from Monday, January 26, 2026, to Sunday, May 24, 2026, giving candidates a four-month window to register. The NCEE is scheduled to hold nationwide on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approved technical college examination centres.
NABTEB has warned candidates to register only through the official portal and to avoid unauthorised agents to prevent errors or complications.
The extension aligns with ongoing efforts by the Nigerian government to expand access to technical and vocational education and training (TVET), aiming to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and economic empowerment. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
