
President Bola Tinubu has extended condolences to the families affected by the recent Boko Haram attack on the Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
The President lamented the loss of innocent lives, including military personnel, as well as those caught in friendly fire during the Air Force’s aerial interdiction of fleeing terrorists.
Describing the incident as a heartless assault on innocent citizens, President Tinubu urged Nigerians, particularly residents of Borno State, not to give in to fear.
He commended the military for their swift response, which resulted in the killing of several terrorists and forced their retreat from the area.
The President also directed the military and other security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue those abducted by the attackers and strengthen measures to protect civilians across the country, especially in the North East.
President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and conveyed his sympathies to their families and the Government of Borno State.
