President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a strong and sustainable economy to leave a better nation for future generations of Nigerians.

The President made the remarks during an interfaith breaking of fast dinner hosted for traditional and religious leaders at the State House, with Vice President Kashim Shettima in attendance. He noted that his administration has successfully steered Nigeria away from the brink of bankruptcy and emphasized that, with the economy now on a solid footing after initial reforms, the government is focused on development across key socio-economic sectors, including agriculture, education, and health.

The Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, was represented at the event by the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahya Abubakar. The leaders highlighted the coincidence of fasting across different faiths as a reminder of the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

Traditional leaders also expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s administration to address challenges such as insecurity in various parts of the country, pledging their loyalty and support to the President.
