The Federal Government has declared Thursday and Friday as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The announcement was made to allow Muslims across the country celebrate the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and prayer.

The government urged Nigerians to use the period to pray for peace, unity, and progress of the nation, while also encouraging citizens to celebrate responsibly.

Eid-el-Fitr is one of the most important Islamic festivals, marked by prayers, charity, and gatherings with family and loved ones.
