The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has urged Nigerians to be cautious about trusting opposition parties, citing persistent internal crises and leadership challenges.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Yilwatda said parties struggling with internal disputes, factional divisions, and weak structures lack the capacity to effectively govern the country. He stressed that any political party unable to manage its own affairs cannot be trusted with national leadership.

He further described many opposition parties as being trapped in self-inflicted crises, weakened by disunity and poor coordination. According to him, entrusting such parties with power would be risky and counterproductive to national progress.

Yilwatda maintained that the APC remains a stable and experienced platform with the structure and capacity required to address Nigeria’s governance challenges. He added that the ruling party is focused on strengthening democratic institutions and delivering on its mandate.

His remarks come amid ongoing leadership disputes and internal tensions within several opposition parties across the country.
