Students and youth groups in Ondo State have expressed strong support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The students, under the umbrella of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee (JCC), made their position known during a mobilisation visit to the Asiwaju Mandate Group in Akure.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the NANS JCC Chairman in Ondo State, Mayomi Adekanye, stated that President Tinubu’s performance in office has justified calls for his re-election. He noted that the administration’s policies and leadership style have made it easier for students to campaign in his favour.

The students also highlighted the role of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing his leadership and contributions to youth development as a key motivating factor behind their support for the President.

According to the group, Tunji-Ojo’s track record, including his engagement with students and provision of support initiatives, has strengthened confidence in the current administration and encouraged wider mobilisation across campuses.

The development forms part of ongoing efforts by student leaders and youth groups in the state to galvanise support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, with mobilisation activities already underway across various institutions and communities.
