Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has formally forwarded the name of Murtala Sule Garo to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as the Deputy Governor of Kano State.

The nomination comes amid recent political developments in the state, as the governor moves to fill the vacant position and reinforce the administration’s leadership structure. Garo, a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, is widely regarded as an experienced political figure.

The Kano State House of Assembly is expected to screen the nominee in the coming days, after which a decision on his confirmation will be made.
