Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has stated that he will not apologise for highlighting and promoting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, insisting that his position reflects ongoing cooperation between both governments.
The governor made the remark while addressing stakeholders at an official event in Kano, where he emphasised that political leaders have a responsibility to acknowledge developmental efforts that benefit their people, regardless of party differences.
According to him, governance should be prioritised over partisan interests, especially when federal initiatives contribute to infrastructure development and economic growth within the state.
Yusuf noted that Kano has continued to benefit from federal collaboration in key areas, adding that such support has improved project delivery and strengthened governance outcomes in the state.
He further urged political actors and citizens to focus on unity and development, stressing that constructive engagement between state and federal authorities remains essential for progress.
The governor’s comments come amid broader national discussions on political alignment and cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
