The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on women across the country, particularly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to actively promote and communicate the achievements and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
She made the appeal in Abuja while inaugurating the Tinubu Torch Bearers, a grassroots mobilisation initiative designed to strengthen public awareness of the government’s policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to her, women play a critical role in political mobilisation and national development, urging them to serve as “true ambassadors” of government programmes by sensitising communities on ongoing reforms and interventions.
The First Lady noted that the administration had recorded progress in key sectors including agriculture, healthcare, job creation, local industry support, and economic reforms aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians.
She stressed that effective communication of government policies at the grassroots level was essential for national unity and for citizens to better understand ongoing reforms.
Senator Tinubu also encouraged APC women leaders to remain peaceful, organised, and committed to democratic engagement while mobilising support for the government’s agenda across the country.
The event was attended by party leaders, women groups, and government officials, who described the initiative as a strategic platform for grassroots mobilisation and civic engagement.
