DSS, Police, Amotekun Launch Coordinated Operation to Rescue Kidnapped Pastor’s 9-Year-Old Son

Security agencies in Ondo State have intensified efforts to rescue a nine-year-old boy abducted during a violent attack on Igbosi Community in Idogun, Ose Local Government Area of the state.
The victim, identified as Victor Olaosebikan, is the son of a local pastor, Olaosebikan Isaac, who was targeted when armed men stormed the community in the early hours of Friday. Residents reported that the assailants fired gunshots indiscriminately, creating panic and forcing many people to flee for safety.
According to reports, the gunmen invaded the pastor’s residence during the attack. While the cleric managed to escape into a nearby bush, the kidnappers abducted his nine-year-old son and fled the area.
In response to the incident, the Ondo State Government said a joint security operation involving the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, the Amotekun Corps, and the military was immediately activated to secure the child’s release and apprehend the perpetrators.
Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, disclosed that security operatives have intensified search-and-rescue operations across forests, neighbouring communities, and other strategic locations within the area. He added that intelligence-gathering efforts have also been strengthened to aid the ongoing investigation.
The government reassured residents that all available resources are being deployed to ensure the safe return of the abducted child, expressing confidence that the coordinated operation would lead to a breakthrough.
Authorities have also appealed to members of the public to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information that could assist in locating the victim and tracking down the suspects.
The abduction has heightened concerns over security in parts of Ose Local Government Area, with residents calling for sustained efforts to curb criminal activities and protect vulnerable communities.
