President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to combating terrorism and other forms of insecurity, declaring that there will be “no retreat” in the nation’s fight against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and their sponsors.

Speaking during his Democracy Day address on Friday, the President issued a strong warning to criminal elements across the country, urging them to surrender and embrace peace or face decisive action from security forces.

Tinubu stressed that the government remains determined to restore peace and protect citizens, noting that security agencies have continued to record significant successes against terrorist groups and other criminal networks.

The President also highlighted ongoing investments in defence and security, including increased funding, improved intelligence gathering, and the recruitment of additional security personnel to strengthen operations nationwide.

While acknowledging the security challenges facing the country, Tinubu expressed confidence that Nigeria would overcome terrorism and banditry through sustained military operations, community cooperation, and national unity.
