Rarara Claims His Mother’s Ordeal Worsened in Kidnappers’ Captivity After Atiku’s Post

Nigerian singer and former presidential aide, Dauda Adamu Kahutu (popularly known as Rarara), has claimed that the situation of his mother worsened while she was held by kidnappers, allegedly following a public statement made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Rarara, who spoke about the incident during a recent interview, said his mother was in the custody of abductors who had been demanding ransom at the time. He alleged that a social media post by Atiku commenting on Nigeria’s insecurity situation appeared to aggravate tensions during the negotiation period.

According to him, the kidnappers maintained contact with the family throughout the period of captivity, but developments surrounding public commentary on the case made the situation more difficult to manage.

The claim has generated discussion online, particularly in relation to the broader debate on insecurity and kidnapping cases in Nigeria. However, no independent evidence has been provided to support the assertion that the political statement directly influenced the kidnappers’ actions.

Atiku Abubakar has consistently criticized the government’s handling of insecurity, calling for stronger measures to address rising cases of abductions across the country.

The incident adds to ongoing public concern over kidnapping incidents in several parts of Nigeria, which continue to attract political and national attention. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
