Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has attributed the ongoing wave of infrastructure development in the state to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms and increased financial support to subnational governments.

Speaking during a recent engagement in Abuja, the Enugu governor said federal policies under the current administration—particularly fiscal reforms and subsidy removal—have significantly improved state revenues, enabling stronger investment in infrastructure projects across Enugu.

Mbah noted that the improved financial capacity of states has allowed Enugu to accelerate road construction, healthcare expansion, education reforms, and other key development initiatives currently visible across the state.

He also praised the Federal Government’s renewed attention to the South-East, describing recent interventions in transport and infrastructure as a major boost to regional development.

According to him, the synergy between federal reforms and state-level execution is driving what he described as a “transformational phase” in Enugu’s growth trajectory.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to leveraging available resources to sustain infrastructure expansion and deepen economic development across the state.
