Former Niger Delta agitators have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in his administration’s policies and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region.
The endorsement was made during a stakeholders’ gathering attended by ex-agitator leaders and community representatives from across the region, where participants pledged their support for the President’s re-election bid.
The group cited ongoing infrastructure projects, economic reforms and efforts to improve security and stability in the Niger Delta as key reasons for backing Tinubu for another term. They also commended the Federal Government’s engagement with stakeholders in the region and its commitment to sustaining peace.
Speaking at the event, leaders of the ex-agitator groups urged residents of the Niger Delta to remain united and support policies aimed at promoting development, job creation and economic growth.
The endorsement adds to a growing list of political groups and regional stakeholders that have publicly declared support for Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 polls.
The former agitators expressed optimism that the administration would consolidate on its achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy to communities across the Niger Delta if re-elected.
