President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received a delegation of African Ministers from the Africa Minerals Strategy Group (AMSG) at the State House, Abuja.
The delegation was led by Dr. Dele Alake, Chairman of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group and Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation among African nations in the development, management, and value addition of the continent’s vast mineral resources.
The ministers discussed strategies aimed at promoting sustainable mining practices, attracting investment into the minerals sector, and enhancing Africa’s capacity to process and benefit from its natural resources.
The engagement also underscored ongoing efforts by African countries to deepen collaboration in the solid minerals sector and advance policies that support economic growth, industrialisation, and job creation across the continent.
The visit reflects Nigeria’s growing role in shaping continental discussions on mineral development and resource governance through the Africa Minerals Strategy Group.
