Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said Nigerians are beginning to see what he described as the “true colours” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration following the controversy surrounding the deregistration and legal battle involving the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Atiku made the remark while reacting to the ongoing political and legal debates over the status of the NDC, which has continued to generate mixed interpretations following recent court decisions and reactions from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He alleged that the developments reflect deeper concerns about democratic processes and political fairness under the current administration.

According to him, the situation raises questions about institutional independence and respect for democratic norms, urging Nigerians to remain alert and engaged in defending democratic values.

Atiku maintained that political inclusion and fairness remain essential pillars of democracy and warned against any actions that could undermine political pluralism in the country.

The former Vice President’s comments add to ongoing national conversations surrounding party registration, electoral processes, and the role of institutions in Nigeria’s democracy ahead of future elections.
