National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi lack the political structure in Northern Nigeria needed to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Ganduje argued that the APC remains the dominant political force across the country, particularly in the North, where he said the party enjoys widespread grassroots support and a well-established organisational network.

He maintained that political success in Nigeria depends not only on popularity but also on a strong party structure capable of mobilising support across the country’s diverse regions.

The APC chairman expressed confidence that President Tinubu would retain broad national support ahead of the next general election, citing the party’s growing membership and ongoing political realignments.

His remarks come amid increasing political activity and coalition talks among opposition parties as preparations for the 2027 elections gather pace.
